iPhone Now Gets 74% And iPad Gets 95% Of Web Traffic

When people hear the word "tablet" the Apple's iPad immediately comes to mind. Same thing appears to be true that the iPhone pops out on people's minds when they hear the word "Apple" or "smartphone". These connotations might be all true after all. Why?

Well, according to a report, Apple owns 74 percent of smartphone Web traffic and 95 percent of tablet traffic on the Internet.

The analysis originated from online advertising network Chitika that says 95 percent of tablet Web traffic comes from an Apple device, compared to phones, where Apple's share is 74 percent.

In addition, the same report also found that Windows Phone now accounts for a third as much traffic as Blackberry devices from Research In Motion (RIM).

Meanwhile, on the desktop, the same report says that over 85 percent of Web traffic comes from Windows machines, compared with slightly more than 13 percent stemming from Mac computers.

Further, the same report also claim that Mobile Web browsing continues to take off, with smartphones and tablets accounting for 20 percent of the overall Web traffic in Canada and in the United States.

Now the question if Apple can hold on to this trend a few months or may be even years from now still remains to be seen. One thing is for sure: the Tech industry as well as all the tech geeks out there will be always watching the smartphones and the tablets race.
